The idea

Social campaign to address the current housing crisis happening in the UK, especially in London. The focus is on getting affordable housing back and comes as a reaction to the continuous increase in housing prices, both for rental and owned properties.

Even housing labelled as affordable, is often not actually affordable for the average London resident, including the Affordable Homes Programme scheme.

A proper home shouldn't
be a privilege!

The campaign contains four different posters, that are put up in different public areas, e.g. tube and bus stations, construction sites, public buildings and alongside varies roads, to gain awareness of the affordable housing crisis.

The elements

Each poster contents a set of living room furniture such as sofas, book case, art work, chairs and plants. The reason of these elements, are that since housing is so unaffordable, especially in London, many are forced to live in flat shares or having flatmates instead of having a flat for themselves.

The connecting elements, between the posters are the red blocks, to grab the viewers attention. Furthermore, each poster contains the campaign slogan:

'A proper home shouldn't be a privilege!'
