How are you really?
In a city like London where life normally moves fast, you don't always have a change to stop and acknowledge your feelings. This is where the mood report comes in handy It gives people an opportunity to really notice and tell how they are doing in their everyday life but without having to put anything into words.
Besides a digital platform, the mood report also connects directly to the public space, such as tube stations and public squares. This will be updated based on the average mood in the area, so if peoples mood are generally lighter and happier, the boards will be lighter then if the mood was dark and emotional etc.
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SKY
Simple just take an image of the sky within the app, adjust the image to fit with your current mood and upload the mood sky with your location. Both platforms will then automatically be updated, to reflect the average mood in that area.
The sky is an entirely neutral object and since the mood report is less about the image itself and more about emotions, the sky was an obvious choice. The important aspect of the app is to acknowledge how you are feeling in that instant and adjust the sky to match. Whether it being light and optimistic, moody or dark and dramatic. No words needed.
